Rosey Norton from Heighington in Lincolnshire created
Lincolnshire Cam last year. Rosey, a proud yellowbelly felt it was about
time Lincolnshire was put on the map.
With the help of Tony Richard’s of the famous Lakeland Cam, set about designing a site to show Lincolnshire as she sees it. Lincolnshire Cam has now evolved to form two separate websites, uknaturepics, the professional site and Wildlife and countryside, to cover more subjects.
Wildlife and Countryside now has a large overseas following with people from all over the U.S., New Zealand, South Africa and other places visiting and emailing weekly. The site now attracts up to 3000 visitors per week wanting their weekly fix of pictures and tales. Rosey is a keen naturalist and supporter of local rare breeds is herself a keeper of rare breed poultry and ducks, the tales often come from the strange collection of animals and their antics.
Lincolnshire is a wealth of old tales and history waiting to be told from the vast prairies of the fens with their big skies and stunning sunsets, to the gentle undulating hills of the Wolds, each have their own beauty waiting to be discovered
Wildlife and Countryside is keen to promote rural businesses and enable them to reach a wider audience but give the visitors a real taste of the UK. there are some fantastic small businesses out there!
Rosey loves the country life spending her free time with the animals, out walking or visiting Chambers Farm Wood near Bardney, a local Forest Enterprise site which is the oldest lime woodland in the country, home to many rare birds including the tree sparrow.
Visiting Wildlife and Countryside is a way to bring the countryside to your PC and to your heart!
